# Social media platforms with native scheduling features

Eight of 12 platforms document native scheduling in their own app or site. Reddit and Discord limit it, and Threads and Bluesky document none (October 2026).

*Guides · Published 2026-10-06*

Eight of the 12 platforms we checked document native scheduling in their own app or site: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Telegram. Reddit offers it only to moderators and Reddit Pro accounts, Discord lists it as a beta for some users, and Threads and Bluesky document none on the pages we read.

"Native" here means a scheduler that the platform itself runs, not a third-party tool. Every row below comes from an official help center, company post or developer page that we opened in a browser on October 6, 2026, and every limit is copied from the page named. Where a platform's pages are silent, we write "not documented on the pages we read" instead of guessing.

## Which social media platforms have native scheduling?

| Platform | Own app or site schedules posts? | Limits the page states |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Instagram | Yes. Reels, photos and carousel posts, from the Instagram app | Public account only. Up to 25 posts a day, up to 30 days ahead. Product tagging, collaborative posts, sponsored posts and fundraisers are not compatible. Stories are not listed. |
| Facebook | Yes, for a Page, in Meta Business Suite | Between 20 minutes and 29 days away. The page describes Pages, not personal profiles. |
| LinkedIn | Yes. Start a post, then the clock icon | Within 10 minutes to 3 months from now. Events, Jobs and Services posts cannot be scheduled. |
| X | Yes. Calendar icon in the compose box (desktop steps), and a Schedule option in the X Ads composer | No limits stated on the two pages we read. |
| TikTok | Yes, on TikTok Desktop Web. The page says it is not available on TikTok Mobile Web | 15 minutes to 10 days ahead. "Business Account" or 10,000 followers or more. Scheduled posts cannot be edited, only deleted. |
| YouTube | Yes, in YouTube Studio or the YouTube app | The video must first be set to "scheduled" or "private". A Community Guidelines strike stops publishing during the penalty period. |
| Pinterest | Yes. Create Pin, then Publish at a later date | Up to 30 days ahead. One Pin at a time, up to 10 scheduled. You cannot edit the image or video afterward. |
| Telegram | Yes. Hold the Send button, then Schedule Message | No limits stated in the announcement. The API page says repeating scheduled messages are for Premium users. |
| Reddit | Only for moderators and Reddit Pro accounts | Moderators need Manage Posts & Comments permission. Scheduled image and video posts are currently unavailable. The page gives steps for reddit.com only. |
| Discord | Beta only. Scheduled messages are listed as a beta feature | A small, randomly chosen group of users. No steps or limits on the page. |
| Threads | Not documented on the pages we read | None to report. |
| Bluesky | Not documented on the pages we read | None to report. |

Platforms rewrite these pages often, so check the page for your own account type before you plan around a limit. The LinkedIn page, for one, shows "Last updated: 2 years ago", and the Telegram announcement is from September 5, 2019.

## How far ahead can you schedule on each platform?

Five platforms state a longest advance time, and they differ a lot: TikTok allows 10 days, Facebook 29, Instagram and Pinterest 30, and LinkedIn 3 months. If you plan a month of content in one sitting, TikTok's 10-day window means you cannot load it all at once.

![Bar chart of the longest advance time stated by each platform: TikTok 10 days, Facebook 29 days, Instagram 30 days, Pinterest 30 days, LinkedIn 3 months. Earliest allowed: TikTok 15 minutes, Facebook 20 minutes, LinkedIn 10 minutes, Instagram and Pinterest not stated. YouTube, X, Telegram and Reddit state no maximum on the pages read.](https://www.trackmedia.app/assets/img/blog/which-social-platforms-have-native-scheduling-fig1.svg)

*Longest and earliest scheduling times as stated on each platform's official page, read October 6, 2026.*

The earliest allowed time matters too. LinkedIn asks for at least 10 minutes, TikTok 15 and Facebook 20, so "publish in two minutes" has to be a manual post on those platforms. Instagram and Pinterest do not state a minimum on the pages we read.

## Which platforms have no full scheduler for regular users?

Four platforms in this list give an ordinary account either limited or no documented scheduling, and each answer comes with a caveat about how far our reading went.

- **Reddit.** Reddit Help's "Scheduled and Recurring Posts" says moderators with Manage Posts & Comments permissions can create, view, edit and delete scheduled posts, and that scheduled image and video posts are "currently unavailable". A separate page, "Reddit Pro Feature: Profile", says Reddit Pro accounts can schedule posts to their profile and to communities they moderate. We found no page that offers scheduling to a regular account.
- **Discord.** Discord's Beta Programs FAQ lists "Scheduled messages: set a time in the future to send your messages in DMs and channels" among its active beta features. The same page says beta access goes to a small random group and cannot be requested, so the feature may not appear in your app, and the page gives no steps. Discord's Scheduled Events article covers events that announce something ahead of time, which is a different thing from sending a message later.
- **Threads.** A search of Instagram's Help Center for "schedule threads" returned articles on time limits, sleep mode and supervision, plus Instagram's own post-scheduling article, but none on scheduling Threads posts. The "Start a new thread on Threads" page lists attachments, tags and polls with no schedule option. We did not open the Threads app, so a newer option could exist.
- **Bluesky.** A search of Bluesky's help center for "schedule" returned 0 articles, while "password" returned 6. Bluesky's January 26, 2026 post "What's Next at Bluesky" says "Basic features like drafts are still missing" from posting, and it does not mention scheduling.

## Where do natively scheduled posts show up afterward?

Each native scheduler keeps its own queue, and the queues are not connected. Instagram lists scheduled content under Menu, then Scheduled content. LinkedIn has a Scheduled posts page behind the clock icon. TikTok shows scheduled posts in your Profile view, and Pinterest shows them above your published Pins.

That works for one platform, but a week of posts can end up in several places. Our guides cover the detail for [Instagram](https://www.trackmedia.app/blog/how-to-see-scheduled-posts-on-instagram), [LinkedIn](https://www.trackmedia.app/blog/how-to-see-and-edit-scheduled-posts-on-linkedin) and [X](https://www.trackmedia.app/blog/how-to-schedule-and-edit-posts-on-x), including where X's four scheduling routes keep their lists. For TikTok, see [whether scheduling changes views](https://www.trackmedia.app/blog/does-scheduling-a-post-on-tiktok-affect-views), where TikTok's documented limits are set out.

## When does a native scheduler fall short?

A native scheduler falls short when your plan spans more than one network, or when a network on your list has none. You repeat the same steps in each app, you cannot see the whole calendar in one place, and Threads and Bluesky document nothing to use.

TrackMedia holds the schedule itself. Its database is the source of truth, and a sweep checks for due posts every minute and publishes at the time you chose. You write one master draft, adjust the version for each network, and pick a time. Past times are rejected. The [publishing overview](https://www.trackmedia.app/#publish) covers scheduling. In the app, the Posts page lets you edit or unschedule a post, and the calendar lets you drag it to another day.

Two limits follow. A post scheduled in TrackMedia is not a platform-native scheduled post, so it does not appear in Instagram's, Facebook's or LinkedIn's own scheduled lists: check the queue in TrackMedia, not in the platform's app. And TrackMedia's code includes a connector for each of the 12 platforms in this table, but we have not confirmed that each one is live in production, and each platform's own rules still apply. For example, TrackMedia does not publish Instagram Stories. If you want one calendar across networks, you can [start free at TrackMedia](https://go.trackmedia.app/signup).

## How we checked this

We opened every page below in our own browser tab on October 6, 2026, and copied each limit from the page. Search engine snippets and third-party blogs were not used as evidence. TrackMedia's behavior comes from the product's code and the verified facts file for this site, read the same day.

What we could not verify: we did not use any app, so we cannot confirm that a menu matches the help page for your device or version. The LinkedIn page has Desktop and Mobile tabs, and we read the desktop steps. X's How to Post page shows the calendar step under its Desktop tab; we did not read its iOS and Android tabs and we did not test the compose box. The Pinterest page leaves out the account type in its first sentence, so the table claims none. Facebook's page describes Pages only. TikTok's account condition is quoted as written, so check your upload screen. Discord's beta, Threads and Bluesky could differ in an app we did not open. We did not open Meta Business Suite's own pages, X Pro, Media Studio or Telegram's FAQ.
